Dear friends, book and film lovers,
You are warmly invited to join Giuliana Prucca – writer, curator, and founder of AVARIE – at Raum für drastische Maßnahmen on Saturday, 6 December, at 7 pm, for the presentation of the artists’ book From static oblivion by Ion Grigorescu, as part of the 10th-anniversary edition of VIDEOAKTION #6, curated by the platform attaque(e)r le visible. The talk is accompanied by the screening of a selection of the artist's films.
Ion Grigorescu, Romanian conceptual artist, is a key figure in post-war experimental art. The book published by AVARIE offers a reflection on the status of the image, the paradox of the body’s presence and disappearance, and the continuity between art, life, and resistance in his practice – from photography and film to performance and drawing.
VIDEOAKTION #6 is a three-day program (5-7 December 2025) dedicated to experimental cinema and media art, featuring contemporary and historical experimental films, video art, cinema performances, expanded cinema events, a book launch, and film workshops. The focus is on coming together, exchanging ideas, and discussing the current state of the experiment and the possibilities of cinematic or media interventions in the visible.
