AVARIE and Labor Neunzehn are pleased to announce their first participation in the 3rd edition of NUSCA | Independent Publishing and Cinema Festival, taking place on the weekend of June 13-14 at Moving Lab in Venice.
We warmly invite you to join us in exploring our curatorial and publishing work, and we look forward to welcoming you at our table on Sunday, June 14, from noon to midnight.
On this occasion, we will be showing a selection of AVARIE's past and recent publications, highlighting our releases related to cinema From static oblivion by Ion Grigorescu and Snaturamenti | a workbook by Flatform on displacement co-published with Light Cone éditions, together with the collection of kamera cahiers, co-edited with Labor Neunzehn for Kamera series | experimental films and printed matter, with a focus on the issue dedicated to visual artist Christine Gedeon.
NUSCA Festival was born in 2024 to create a space free from institutional constraints, where independent practices in publishing and cinema could meet and speak to one another. More than a simple exhibition event, it is conceived as an ecosystem of exchange — bringing together an independent publishing fair, film screenings, workshops and informal gatherings — that gives visibility to creatives working outside traditional circuits.
